BALTIMORE (WMAR) — A Johns Hopkins University student had their computer stolen from a supposed online buyer on Monday.

The student had arranged to meet someone off Facebook to sell a laptop.

Both met in the 3300 block of Lovegrove, between N. Charles and St. Paul Streets.

During the meeting the student let the buyer see the laptop, at which point he jumped into the passenger side of a car and took off without paying.

According to Johns Hopkins Campus Security, the vehicle is believed to be a gray Volvo with possible Pennsylvania tags. They say the suspect is about 6 feet tall with short dreads and a tattoo or scar on the right jaw.
