A home for cancer patients in Baltimore celebrated its 30th anniversary Saturday afternoon.
Hope Lodge of Baltimore is one of 32 lodges in the United States, that provides free residence for cancer patients who need to travel a distance for their cancer treatment.
To commemorate this milestone guests and caregivers traveled back to the lodge Saturday afternoon to celebrate survivorship and share memories of their stays at Baltimore Hope Lodge during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
More than 4,000 patients and caregivers stay at Baltimore Hope Lodge annually, saving approximately $727,000 in lodging costs.
Hope Lodge is made possible through private donations to the American Cancer Society, as well as the generosity of its residents, local businesses and foundations.
