Homicide detectives investigate a recent death from injuries 18 years ago

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police said a man died earlier this year from shooting injuries he suffered almost 19-years-old.

According to police, 47-year-old Jessie Bernard Evans was pronounced dead on February 3, 2019, due to complications from being shot on September 23, 2000 in the 1000 block of North Dukeland Street.

The Medical Examiners office performed an autopsy on Evans on February 8.

Homicide detectives were notified on June 6 that the cause of his death was ruled a homicide.
