The nation's largest homeownership event was in Baltimore Thursday, giving prospective buyers much needed help.

The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America's 'Achieve the Dream Tour' kicked off at the Radisson Hotel at the Inner Harbor Thursday morning.

Thousands of prospective homeowners from the Baltimore Washington Metropolitan area attended the event for a chance to get the same day mortgage pre-approval. The event is a one-stop shop with one-on-one counseling, workshops, and underwriters to approve or pre-approve borrowers for a NACA mortgage.

The NACA's mortgage features no down payment, no closing costs or fees, and no private mortgage insurance. All customers receive a below-market interest rate, and perfect credit is not required.

The Achieve the Dream event will run five days from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m., ending Monday, April 30.
