A movie star visited Baltimore this weekend.

Omar Epps was in town to speak about fatherhood.

Epps was promoting his book 'From Fatherless to Fatherhood' at the Center For Urban Families on North Monroe Street in West Baltimore.

He says there are too many young people who grow up without dads in their life, including himself, and he wants his story to be a 'tool' of inspiration for parents to be more involved in their kids lives.

Epps described a little of what was in his book: "Sort of a memoir of my life in that prism. And it's one of those visceral issues that people have in our community and so i want to just come share my story with the people."

Epps says his book isn't* just for men, but for everyone and adds it should no longer be tolerated for men to not be held accountable for raising their children.
