Helping Up Mission breaks ground on new facility for women battling addiction, homelessness

BALTIMORE — On Thursday, the Helping Up Mission held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new 145,000 square foot facility in Jonestown.

The facility will be their new women's and children's center, it will include residential areas, childcare, a wellness clinic and an education workforce development center.

"We will be able to take women...bring them in off the streets....and they will have all the care there they need in order to get well." said CEO of Helping Up Mission, Bob Gehman.

The facility will serve as many as 200 women.
