The Fudgery, a well-known Harborplace fudge shop and tourist destination, has been shut down by the Baltimore City Health Department over a mouse infestation.

The department listed the closure on its website, saying the location closed on Thursday, March 17 due to “heavy mouse infestation, overflowing drain causing an odor, and unsanitary conditions.”

It’s not yet known when the shop, located at 301 Light Street at the Inner Harbor, is scheduled to reopen.

Baltimore’s location of The Fudgery, where employees sing for shoppers while making their famous fudge, is one of more than 20 locations in 12 states.

The health department lists additional restaurant closures on its website, including Jerry’s Carryout at 27 E. North Avenue which was closed for a rodent infestation, and a McDonald’s located at 101 E. Baltimore Street closed due to water leakage.
