Harford County addiction center gets mattress donation

Posted

On Wednesday Lessa Sleep hosted an event at Ashley Addiction Treatment Center in Havre de Grace.

With the help of Baltimore Ravens' safety Anthony Levine, Lessa donated 50 mattresses and blankets to the facility.

Ashley Addiction Treatment Center treats roughly 100 patients daily to help them overcome substance-use disorder. With these donations the brand new mattresses allow patients to get a good nights sleep to help them the next day on their journey to recovery.

"So this nice gift is a wonderful donation for those that need their health and their wholeness to be restored, said Becky Flood CEO/President Ashley Addiction Treatment Center. Their ability to sleep well is immensely important to their recovery."

Through Leesa’s One-Ten Program they donate one mattress for every ten they sell. In its first 3 years, Leesa has donated more than 26,000 mattresses through giving events and donations to nonprofits that serve people seeking refuge from homelessness, domestic risk and human trafficking and addiction.
