Baltimore Police confirmed that Sherman Reed Jr. was shot and killed in the area of 3800 West Patapsco Avenue on Thursday evening. They say he was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in his home.

According to the GoFundMe page, the family started the donation page to collect funds for a 529 plan and an annuity to ensure that Reed's 8-year-old son can afford to attend college in the future. The family is trying to reach a $30,000 goal and has raised $500 as of Tuesday.
