Sagamore Development Company has teamed up with Cherry Hill Eagles Foundation to hold free lacrosse clinics for boys and girls in South Baltimore.

The weekly lacrosse clinics, which began April 5, are led by former collegiate lacrosse players and Sagamore Development employees each week at New Era Academy in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of South Baltimore. The clinics, which are held free-of-charge, are designed for boys and girls in South Baltimore who are interested in learning about the game of lacrosse.

Alicia Wilson, Vice President of Community Affairs and Legal Advisor hopes this program opens these young people’s horizon and introduce them to new things. Saying, “When we came to this community they were doing football 12 months a year. And so why not do lacrosse it may expand to swimming or other things.”

Clinics have drawn as many as 40 children, including boys and girls ranging in ages from 8 to 12 years old. Clinics are expected to run every Wednesday through the spring and Sagamore Development continues to encourage children in South Baltimore to participate.
