Four women injured, man and woman dead in overnight shootings as Baltimore violence persists

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a quadruple shooting and a homicide in the city involving female victims.

The first of the month ended with officers responding to a shooting in the 1200 block of East Preston Street. On the scene, they found a 20-year-old woman and a 26-year-old woman suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Shortly after, officers were notified about two walk-in shooting victims at an area hospital. When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe the group of woman were approached by an unidentified suspect while in in the 1200 block of North Luzerne Avenue, when the suspect started shooting.

On the city's Westside, police responded to the 1200 block of Bloomingdale road. There, officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso.

Both victims were taken to area hospitals where they were both pronounced dead.
