A group of men had a unique graduation celebration at the University of Baltimore Tuesday night.

Though not your typical students, graduates from the Public Safety Compact's "Safe and Sound Campaign" god the nod for their hard work.

They're former non-violent inmates released early to turn their lives around. Many have battled addiction, unemployment and homelessness.

This program gives them a jump on a fresh start.

Unfortunately Tuesday's ninth graduation may be the program's last. The funding they received from the state ended in October.
