BALTIMORE — A Johns Hopkins student who was found dead on campus Saturday, has been identified.

Stella Chung, 19, of San Diego California, was a first-year student in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences.

While attending Hopkins, Chung participated in the HopkinsLEAD pre-orientation program, and competed with the Hopkins Sport Taekwondo Club team, and was a member of the Chamber Music Ensemble.

School officials say Chung was a talented violinist who served the underprivileged and devoted her time to charitable work with children.

Police are still looking into the cause of her death, but the school says there are no related health or safety concerns on campus.

A funeral mass has been scheduled for February 8 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church & University Parish at 2801 North Charles Street.
