Firefighters battle flames on N. Carey St.

Crews battled a row home fire in Baltimore Monday evening that left a family displaced.

Members from the Baltimore City Fire Department were called to the 500 block of North Carey Street after a caller spotted flames showing from the second floor of a house around 5:30 p.m.

Firefighters were able to make good progress on the flames and the fire was placed under control in about 30 minutes.

Officials say no civilians or firefighters were injured.

The home that caught fire was occupied and all occupants made it out safely.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.  Fire officials say the amount of damage to the home and contents was approximately $10,000.
