Senator Ben Cardin today praised the sale of a 1.1 million square foot facility, once utilized by the Social Security Administration, to a private developer.
Caves Valley Partners bought Federal Metro West complex at 300 N. Greene Street for more than $7 million at a surplus property auction.
The sale was announced by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Denise Turner Rother of the United States General Services Administration and Nate Loewentheil, a senior policy advisor at the National Economic Council and the head of President Barack Obama’s Task Force for Baltimore.
In a statement, Cardin said he was “excited” to see what CVP had planned for the site.
