A Maryland woman was arrested for bringing a loaded handgun through a checkpoint at BWI airport Tuesday.
The Ellicott City resident told Transportation Security Administration officers that she keeps a gun in her purse for protection and forgot she had it with her. The gun was loaded with seven bullets.
The incident happened hours after a Pennsylvania man was caught with a .32 caliber handgun loaded with six bullets at another BWI checkpoint.
