Fire officials responded to an electrical fire from a transformer volt just before 7:30 a.m. They arrived to find smoke throughout the building.

BGE was called to the scene to shut off the electrical power, officials say. The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes and all on-site personnel were evacuated.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation shut down W. Redwood Street between S. Paca Street and Eutaw Street.

The Baltimore Office of Emergency Management has advised motorists to expect delays due to power outages and fire crews on the scene.
