The Baltimore City Department of Public Works released the 2016 Water Quality Report Monday.
According to the DPW, the annual reportwill let customers know where the city’s drinking water comes from, how the water is treated, what it contains, and how it meets federal standards for tap water.
The report was released just in time for National Drinking Water Week, which runs May 7-13.

Officials encouraged residents to help keep the waterways clean by placing wipes in the trash and pouring cooking oils in a can instead of down the drain.
The Water Quality Report will be included in the monthly water bills mailed to residents.
