It didn't take long after the announcement of a hung jury in the Officer Porter trial for a group of protestors to start gathering downtown, around courthouse east and also in front of City Hall.

The group marched, held up signs, and chanted. The reaction to what happened in court was mixed, even among those who were demonstrating together. Some called the mistrial a big disappointment and possibly an indication of what's to come if the case is retired.

For others, it was about sending a message that they are still watching the case very closely. There were two people put in handcuffs, including activist Kwame Rose and one other person. They were taken into custody by sheriffs deputies.
