(WMAR) — When the CVS burned down during Baltimore’s unrest, Goodwill Industries extended a hand of goodwill.

CVS Pharmacy and its job training program were invited into the basement of Goodwill’s Baltimore headquarters.

For 16 weeks students learned how to become a pharmacy tech with the program.

The built in pharmacy inside of the Goodwill will have you thinking you are in a real CVS pharmacy. It’s all pretend as it teaches students how to fill pills, how to handle insurance and how to make people feel better.

It is a cure for joblessness in this city, and two people just landed jobs. Three more will be working at other pharmacies earning up to $15 an hour.
