More than 300 people have been gunned down in Baltimore this year, and now the community is coming together to call for the violence to stop.

A 'Night for Peace' rally is being held Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Monument in Mount Vernon.

The event is free and open to everyone. Several officials have been invited, including Mayor Catherine Pugh and Commissioner Kevin Davis.

There has been no word on if they'll attend.
