BALTIMORE — A donation is helping to feed hundreds in Baltimore.

On Wednesday, The Mount Pleasant Development Corporation hosted a community food drive.

It was made possible by a donation from Baltimore native and Green Bay Packer Adrian Amos. Organizers had a goal of serving 500 families.

"This is absolutely important. Jesus said bless the poor for you will have them with you always. He didn't tell us to ignore them. I take the opportunity to make sure that I don’t ignore them. This is a society of unnoticed people and a lot of people don’t notice them, but we are taking a special aim at noticing those people who are forgotten."

Residents also got PPE kits donated by the Baltimore County Department of Health and Human Services.
