At Wednesday's Board of Estimates meeting, the Spending Panel is expected to approve a $220,000 settlement for a woman who claimed city police assaulted her because she was taking video of them.

Makia Smith filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit in federal court, saying Baltimore Police destroyed her camera and arrested her in March of 2012.

The woman said she was recording officers who were beating a young man.

Smith was charged with resisting arrest and other related charges, but those were dropped.
