A unanimous vote from the Baltimore City Council means they're a step closer to using $12 million for youth programs.

A final vote is now needed by the Board of Estimates.

City officials are in the process of figuring out who will decide how that money is spent.

The goal is to boost non-profits that help keep children off the streets.

Meetings to determine the assembly of citizens could begin as soon as February.
