It’s Black History Month and the Baltimore Chapter of Jack and Jill of America teamed up with Baltimore Center Stage to bring the community a special performance. Ninety-two kids aged 3 to eighteen took part in the “Ground on Which we Stand: An Exploration of Black Excellence.”
Black leaders like Langston Hughes, Billie Holliday and Frederick Douglass were celebrated through the words and interpretations of the children.
There was music, poetry, dance and videos that took the audience on a journey through the African American experience.
Center Stage Associate Artistic Director Hana Sharif directed the production.
