Building roof's solar panels catch fire

Crews battled a roof fire on a building that had solar panels late Wednesday afternoon in South Baltimore.

Baltimore Fire Officials said units responded to the 3100 block of Viona Avenue for reports of a building fire shortly after 3:30 p.m.

When crews arrived they found smoke showing from the building's roof.  Units responding said the found fire coming from the roof.

The fire was quickly extinguished by crews and was put out before flames spread into the building.

Officials say no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
