BPD is investigating two Southwest Baltimore incidents: a shooting and a homicide

BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Police Department is investigating two Southwestern District incidents: one is a shooting and the other is a homicide.

The shooting happened first. At a little after 4:40 p.m., patrol officers were called to the 2000 block of Denison Street for a report of a shooting. Once they arrived, they found a 48-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed as being in stable condition.

The homicide happened at a little after 5 p.m. in the 2000 block of Hollins for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived to find 27-year-old Anthony Roberts suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and neck. Roberts was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
