BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Baltimore Police on Friday announced an arrest in an attempted murder case two weeks ago in Southeast Baltimore.

Detectives charged 54-year-old Otis Weaver with shooting a 42-year-old man, following a fight on February 5 in the 600 block of N. Rose Street.

It's unclear how investigators tracked Weaver to the case.

Meanwhile on Thursday evening, detectives began investigating after a man was shot to death in South Baltimore.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of Western Avenue just before 6 p.m., and found 35-year-old Jamal Harrod suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

He later died at an area hospital.

Police haven't released any possible motive related to the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 410-396-2100.
