BPD detectives investigating city's 6th May homicide

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating an early Tuesday morning homicide.

The latest incident happened Tuesday in South Baltimore around 7:45 a.m., in the 300 block of S. Monroe Street.

Arriving officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He died at the scene.

Just two days earlier, another man was shot and killed two blocks down.

Since May 1, six people have been killed in the city.

On May 2, a man was gunned down in the 3300 block of Garrison Boulevard.

The next day, two men were shot and killed in the 600 block of Mt Holly Street.

Then the following day, a 39 year old man died after being shot in the head in the 500 block of Grundy Street.

Overall in 2020, there have been six less homicides in Baltimore than at the same time last year.
