BALTIMORE — Despite the high temperatures, BGE will be shutting off power in parts of the city on Monday.

The outages will allow crews to perform reliability work that can't be safely performed on live circuits. They may last anywhere from an hour to several hours.

There were some outages in the morning and power has since been restored.

Less than 180 customers in Remington Area around Miles Avenue between 28th and 29th Street are affected. Outages began at 8 p.m. and are expected to last several hours.

There is no word on the estimated restoration at this time.
