Ben Carson visits 'Helping Up Mission'

Dr. Ben Carson made a visit to 'Helping Up Mission' on Friday as a part of President Trump's efforts to end opioid addiction in America.

Helping Up Mission is a faith-based program that aid 500 homeless men in Baltimore fight addiction. As a part of the program, the men live at the center and are involved in a 12-step therapeutic community.

After a tour of the facility, Carson participated in the Helping Up Mission ceremony where he presented program completion certificates and gave a speech.

"Today we celebrate the achievements of the Helping Up Mission and the new opportunities which lie ahead for the men who have stuck with this program," said Carson.

He attended a roundtable with addiction service providers to discuss ways to help the program participants.
