BARCS waiving adoption fees to deal with overcrowding

The Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter is waiving adoption fees through Friday, June 8 to deal with a lack of space for new animals.

As Baltimore's open-admission shelter, BARCS has to accept all animals brought to it, even if cages are full.

Animals wind up in shelters by no fault of their own. They depend on us to get them the care they need, and we depend on our community (and beyond) to save their lives through adoption. Please help us save the lives of the beautiful dogs and cats here right now by helping us get them out to good homes. - BARCS

The shelter, located between the Horseshoe Casion and M&T Bank Stadium at 301 Stockholm Street is open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
