BARCS waives adoption fees for cats and kittens

BARCS waives adoption fees for cats and kittens

To help deal with overcrowding, the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter is waiving adoption fees for cats and kittens through the end of July.

"Here at BARCS we are completely out of cat space, so we have decided to kick off waived adoption fees a few days early," BARCS said in a statement. "If you've thought about welcoming a cat into your home, now is the time where your adoption will make a big impact in helping animals in Baltimore."

All animals that are adopted from BARCS are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations before they leave the shelter. New owners also get a free veterinary wellness exam from the Cat Hospital at Towson (CHAT).

The adoption fee waiver lasts until July 31. BARCS, located at 301 Stockholm St. in Baltimore, is open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 11 am. to 4 p.m. on weekends.
