BARCS is asking for donations to help a cat in need.

Franky Fund donations are needed to help an eight-week-old kitten named Poppy.

Poppy suffered burns to 80% of her body. The kitten has burned areas on her head, back, chest and her ears. Poppy’s tail is also broken in multiple places.

Poppy was found on the porch of a senior citizen’s home in southeast Baltimore and was taken to BARCS by Baltimore City Animal Control.

BARCS doesn't know where her burns came from, but believe they are chemical or thermal burns. They say they're committed to saving Poppy’s life. She will need offsite medical care to give her the best chance of survival.

You can make a donation on BARCS’website. BARCS asks that you designate your donation by putting ‘Poppy’ in the dedicate your gift section. 100% of donations received will go towards Poppy's medical bills.
