BARCS is waiving adoption fees for all animals at a South Baltimore location after taking over too many pets.
The free adoptions will be at the shelter at 301 Stockholm Street until Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The organization said they took in over 1,000 animals between October 8 and November 8.
With the influx of dogs and cats, BARCS is not able to have cage space for the incoming animals.
BARCS never turns animals away, which is why they need adopters to help save lives.
On average, BARCS invests $300-$400 to care for each animal brought to the shelter. All animals adopted are sent home spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. If you adopt a dog from BARCS you will receive unlimited training classes and behavior advice from our staff trainers.
