Baltimore’s 23rd annual HonFest will kick off this weekend along four city blocks in Hampden.

HonFest is scheduled to run from 11 a.m-8 p.m. Saturday and from noon-6 p.m. Sunday.

Like last year, this year’s festival will feature three stages of music and events, including Baltimore’s Best Hon contest. Over 36 live artists will perform over the weekend. This year also promises plenty of food vendors and local craft vendors.

HonFest is meant to celebrate the working women that helped shape Baltimore into what it is, according to the festival’s website. HonFest started as “Baltimore’s Best Hon” pageant behind Café Hon in 1994 and has grown since then.

Registration for the pageant is 10 a.m Saturday. at the Domino Sugar Contest & Entertainment Stage.
The Glamour Lounge will be giving “beehives, bobby pins and hairspray” all weekend, where visitors can get their hair done.

The annual “Hondreds of Hons” photo shoot is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Roland Avenue and 36th Street.
