Despite the strong threat of wet, windy weather, the 5th Annual Baltimore Seafood Fest will go on as scheduled Saturday.
The event celebrating a leading segment of Maryland's culinary economy will take place from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Canton Waterfront Park.
"There may be some showers so we recommend bringing an umbrella, wearing proper footwear, and bringing lawn chairs," read a message from Beth Laverick, the Owner of b Scene Events, the company organizing the festival.
The festival showcases more than 40 local restaurants and food trucks, local vendors selling goods, drinks purveyors, cooking demonstrations, live music, and a kid fun zone, all in a waterfront setting, the event's Facebook page says.
While seafood is the star of the show, "BBQ, kid friendly far, and vegetarian items," will also be available, the Facebook post said.
Tickets are still available, but they are nonrefundable.
