An award ceremony honoring Baltimore City Police officers and community members, including those who stepped up during April’s unrest, will take place Thursday afternoon.
Awards will be presented at police headquarters beginning at 12:55 p.m.
The event will honor several officers for their service, and will highlight the contributions of the following community leaders:
- Munir Bahar - Founder, 300 Men March
- Marcus "Strider" Dent - Chapter Commander, Baltimore Guardian Angels
- Liz Koontz - Employee Outreach Manager, Live Baltimore
- Ginger Mihalik - Executive Director, Outward Bound Baltimore
- Ericka Alston - Director of PR, Marketing and Business Development, Penn North Community Resource Center
- Reverend Glenna Huber - Receiving award on behalf of BUILD.
