Baltimore Police are looking for two men they say are responsible for raping a 16-year-old girl.

It happened Friday afternoon along South Eaton Street.

“They exchanged words, nothing major. She walked away and a short time later one of those males grabbed her from behind and they both forced her into an alleyway and at least one of them sexually assaulted her,” Det. Donny Moses said.

Investigators are bothered both by the act and the time of day in which the rape happened.

“The fact that it happened at 6 p.m. on a Friday when you know people are out, it’s even that much more disturbing because you never know what they’re capable of,” Moses said.

But Nicole Consentino says she has an idea.

She’s lived on the block for about five years and in that time says she’s seen both the best and the worst on her street.

“To hear that something like that would happen to someone that is 16 is just – to anyone, but you know it’s a horrible thing that someone so young was targeted,” Consentino said.

Consentino has cameras monitoring her property 24/7. She says awareness of your surroundings is a must with city living.

“This is still a neighborhood that’s changing. I feel like you have to exercise caution and I think that’s probably good advice for anyone living in the city,” she said.

As for police, they’re confident it’s only a matter of time before they catch the two men.

“If they committed a crime such as this – as heinous as this, chances are they’ve broken the law before. It may not have been rape, but chances are they’ll break the law again,” Moses said.

According to BPD,  between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on the 200 block of S. Eaton Street near the 3700 block of Claremont Street a rape was reported.

Detectives are looking for the two men accused of rape. Police say one of the suspects is a Hispanic man in his 20's, around 6 feet tall, has close cut black hair, and a tattoo on his upper left arm.

The second suspect is also a Hispanic man in his 20's, around 5'7" tall, and has longer bushy black hair that is tapered on the sides.

Anyone with information about the incident or suspects is asked to call detectives with the Sex Offense unit at 410-396-2076.
