The Baltimore Police Department announced its new health and wellness program Wednesday.
The program is in partnership with Business Health Solutions and will provide free confidential work-life services, wellbeing coaching, and counseling.
Employees will be able to us the program to address issues that affect them at home, at work, and in the community.
“They have to have someone to vent to. They have to have a confidential source that they can talk to. They have to have a safe space and that's what this program offers for our officers,” said Captain Jarron Jackson. “I’m very pleased that we have it, I’m very pleased that it's free, and I’m very pleased that it's voluntary and I think it'll make our department better as a whole."
The program is voluntary and will be available all department employees and their families.
