Security prepared for huge Light City crowds

After more than a year of preparation, organizers were nervous about Light City Baltimore's kickoff.

Approximately 40,000-50,000 people came out for the opening night of the festival and the 1.5 mile walk. A crowd that large could present security concerns, but the Baltimore Police Department said they were prepared to handle it.

Light City Baltimore runs through Saturday. The city has already committed to expanding next year's festival to ten days.
