BALTIMORE — Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting in East Baltimore Sunday evening.

Officials said 41-year-old Laquan Jones-Hillman was arrested for shooting a 26-year-old victim.

At 6:33 a.m., a 26-year-old man walked into Union Memorial Hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. Officers responded to the 2200 block of Cecil Avenue, after receiving calls of a shooting. At the location, they were unable to find a victim until calls were dispatched about a walk-in shooting victim.

Police said witnesses led them to Jones-Hillman, who lives in the 2200 block of Cecil Avenue.

Jones-Hillman has been charged with first and second-degree attempted murder and is now at Central Booking waiting to see a court commissioner.
