Speeding down Pulaski Highway an olive oil company established in 1910, blends in with the industry all around.

Pompeian is earning serious national attention as Walmart's fastest growing olive oil brand in sales and that mirrors its growth in the Baltimore factory.

The brand new lab that opened in September is nine times bigger than the old one adding 10 to 13 jobs this year alone.

"It's a great honor that Walmart really selected Pompeian to represent manufacturers in the state of Maryland, " said Mouna Aissaoui, Pompeian Chief Operating Officer.

"We've been very excited about this operation for quite some time, not just for the employees and employers but what they do in our city, in our community to enhance the efforts of our city," Mayor Cathrine Pugh said.

You can see the commitment with its more than 100 employees, 70% live in Baltimore City, including Courtney Cureton who says she is thankful for this job.

"Actually, I left PBG because they actually shut production down and I know there's actually a  lot of people who did not have job opportunities," said Cureton.

Cureton says she feels secure at a company steadily growing not only within the company's walls but with the community around it.
