Baltimore City is missing out on more than $250,000 worth of revenue because city officials have not fully implemented a new parking law.
Starting September 1, Baltimore was supposed to increase the fine for parking in a bus lane from $75 to $250. But officials say they have not changed their citations to show the higher fine.
City Councilman Ryan Dorsey says it's "inexcusable" for the city to lose that revenue. Dorsey says a city transportation official told him changes need to be made to the city's mainframe before the higher fines can be accepted.
