Baltimore City firefighters were called to two active fire scenes Tuesday afternoon.
Around 1:40 p.m., fire crews were called to the 4000 block Liberty Heights Avenue for a reported apartment fire.

When firefighters arrived, there was smoke coming from the basement of the two-story apartment building. Crews put out the fire in about 15 minutes and no one was injured. One family was displaced by the fire.
The cause is under investigation.
A short time later, around 2 p.m., crews responded to a second fire in the 2200 block of Callow Avenue.

When crews arrived they found a three-story rowhouse with heavy fire and smoke coming from the third floor. Firefighters were able to put out the fire in about 20 minutes.
Again, no one was injured and one family was displaced.
The cause of that fire is also under investigation.
