BALTIMORE — While no cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Baltimore, Baltimore City Public Schools will prepare learning packets for students in preparation.

Their goal is to keep the doors open as long as possible, while prioritizing the health and safety of our students. As the situation continues to evolve, the district is taking proactive steps to ensure it supports students and staff.

As a result, the professional development sessions scheduled for Friday have been canceled. Instead, employees will report to their school or worksite to help in the preparation of grade-level learning packets for students.

In the event of school closures, these packets will be distributed to students.

They also stated parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Friday will continue as planned.
