Leave has been canceled for all Baltimore City police officers this week to prepare for the jury's verdict in Officer William Porter's trial.
Commissioner Kevin Davis released a statement saying in part that "the community has an expectation to be prepared for a variety of scenarios."
Police spokesman T.J. Smith says officers will work 12-hour shifts through Dec. 18.
