City leaders anticipate reaction to verdict

Posted

City leaders say they are prepared for any reaction to a verdict in the first trial in the Freddie Gray case, but are encouraging the community to respond peacefully.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said the city took to heart the reports following the April riots and have made changes accordingly.

Davis said the goal is to be as prepared as possible out of an abundance of caution.
