Baltimore City Council votes on a bill that requires every agency to develop an equity action plan and conduct equity assessments of there policies and practices.

The legislation would require city capital projects to go through an equity scoring process.

If approved by voters, along with the Equity Assessment Ordinance, another bill will be created for an equity fund through a charter amendment.

The council also tabled a bill that would change a section of the city's fire code in favor of bike lanes.
