The Baltimore City council is expected to take a final vote on raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2022 Monday.

The current minimum wage is $8.75 an hour.

The bill would allow businesses with less than 50 employees until 2026 to phase in the $15 an hour minimum wage.

If passed, the bill will go to Mayor Catherine Pugh for approval.

The vote is scheduled to take place at City Hall at 5 p.m.
